Saturday was a bit cooler for a day than what we have been having in my area of SoCal. Only in the high 80s instead of the high 90s+.

I took a short drive to the area of California Oaks Woodland which I like to visit in the hope of finding something to point my camera.

It was by complete chance that I came upon this Praying Mantis which was just finishing up molting.  The last bit of skin was still stuck to its body.

A small patch of sun would dodge in and out with the movement of the branch the mantis was sitting. Sun, shade, sun, shade… 

This time I caught the mantis in the shade.  Other times it seemed to glow in the bright sunlight, (those photos for another time).

Some Thursday’s Thoughts

I watched Citizen Kane (one of my favorite movies) today.

I couldn’t help but see some parallels with the fictional character Charles Foster Kane and the story as a whole.  Trump… True life imitating fiction. 

Anyways… Trump did a “news conference” today. Supposedly his advisors told him to stay on track and focus on the script. That lasted about 10 minutes. The rest of the time was back to his rambling and lies. One thing he talked about, which he has talked about before, was how Green energy is not a good thing especially if you’re a bird. It seems those large windmills that generate electricity when they are moved by the wind, kill thousands of birds and the ground is littered with dead birds underneath them. I have been to the large windmills that are on the way to Palm Springs and Joshua Tree many times over the course of many years. I have NEVER seen any dead birds on the ground beneath them.  I’m sure a few may get killed, but the blades do not turn fast enough that a bird could not avoid them.

I keep hearing people ask, “Is America ready for a woman president? Or a gay president?” Funny thing is I never heard anyone ask if America was ready for an incompetent, vindictive, mentally unstable, misogynistic, homophobic, racist, traitorous egomaniac and yet, here we are.

There’s NO difference between the person that got a 10 year old pregnant and the ones trying to make her have the baby.

This morning about 0930, a 3.9 earthquake hit the Lake Elsinore area.

As reported by the Patch…

“The temblor was reported at 9:39 a.m. about 3.7 miles west of Lake Elsinore, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake follows a magnitude 4.4 temblor that hit at 12:20 p.m. Monday near Highland Park in Los Angeles.”

Nope, I didn’t feel it.

Trump is out of touch with reality and no one challenges him about it. He lies! He fabricates stories. He highly embellishes the amount of people that attend his rallies. NO ONE says anything! He is on tape, both audio and video, saying something and then a couple of days later says he never said it! And NO ONE challenges him! No one is saying he is mentally unstable, that he is too old, that he has cognitive impairment.

He crashed in a helicopter with Willie Brown? REALLY? This is a complete fabrication! And NO ONE makes this an issue??!!

But, let Biden stumble on words, the Republicans are wanting blood!!!
